Cooner Toolson put together a big performances on a major stage at the Hoop Hall Classic.

Highland (Utah) Lone Peak is one of the best high school teams in the country.

They’ve played in the biggest events of the year including the City of Palms, Brandon Jennings Invitational and this past weekend at the Hoop Hall Classic.

Lone Peak has a trio of top 100 prospects in Nick Emery, Eric Mika and T.J. Haws. While those three get majority of the attention, 2013 shooting guard Conner Toolson has proven he’s a Division I player this year.

Toolson, a 6-foot-3 guard, scored 22 points and hit all six of his three-point attempts in a nationally televised game against San Jose (Calif.) Archbishop Mitty.

“They all suck in and I get wide open,” Toolson said. “They are all focusing on them.”

Toolson said it was fun to get his moment on such a big stage.

“It’s been pretty nice,” he said. “I’ve been playing behind them the past three years. They are really great players so it’s hard to play behind them but I got my time this time and I shot well. They gave me the ball. It felt good.”

Throughout his time in high school some Division I schools have dabbled in his recruitment, but lately just Junior Colleges and Division II schools are involved.

Toolson’s father – Andy -- played at BYU and spent some time with the Utah Jazz.
