It hasbeen almost a month since Bryan Mone made his first trip to Ann Arbor and the glow from his initial Maize & Blue experience still hasn’t worn off. When asked if the Wolverines sat atop his leaderboard the four-star defensive lineman didn’t hesitate.
“No doubt,” Mone replied promptly. “They’re still up there, man.”
The 2014 standout was so taken with his Michigan experience that he couldn’t wait to get home and share his thoughts with his parents. Rumors of a possible commit even circulated. For his part, Mone indicated those rumors were premature.
“(My family) is excited about Michigan,” he stated. “Everything is good there. I haven’t thought about committing yet.”
What Mone has thought about is improving his game… even that means he has to give up another sport that he loves.
“I’m not playing basketball this year,” he said. “I’m (concentrating) on more training and getting bigger and stronger for football.”
That means recruiting is on the backburner also.
“I think just Stanford (has been by the school),” said Mone. “I know Ole Miss offered. But I’m not thinking about that right now. I’m not thinking about visits. I’m just thinking about working in the weight room."
