Stott enjoys official visit

Logan Stott has been an Arizona commitment for quite a while now. Read on for his thoughts on a recent official visit, his senior season, and much more.

Arizona is looking for players who can make an early impact next season, and Pineview (Utah) offensive lineman Logan Stott appears to fit the bill.

Blessed with uncanny strength, the Arizona commit has played multiple positions on the offensive line and is working hard to make an early impact at Arizona.

"It's been an interesting year," Stott said. "Our team was 7-4, which was a little disappointing. Individually, I thought I played well, especially considering the fact that I moved to center. It's been a little difficult trying to learn a new position, but it's all for the best because it will make me a better player down the road.

"Other than that I've been hitting the weights and working on my flexibility."

Stott was recently in Tucson for an official visit and spent some time with the coaching staff.

"It was fun getting down to Arizona for a visit," Stott said. "I got to talk with Coach Rodriguez and see the school. He told me there is an opportunity for early playing time, but everyone has to earn it."

The coaching staff has been honest with Stott and it is something that he certainly appreciates.

"I like the fact that there is an opportunity to play early, but I also appreciate Coach Rodriguez's honesty," he said. "Some coaches promise playing time to try and impress kids; there wasn't any of that with Coach Rod."

Although Stott is committed to Arizona, other schools are continuing to recruit him.

"I hear from a lot of different schools." Stott said. "I don't want to name them because it's kind of embarrassing because I'm committed.

"That said, they're just wasting their time. I'm a Wildcat and I can't wait to get down there and be a Division-I athlete."
